Ms. Jourdaine Middleton joined LACO Associates in July 2023 as a Senior Grant Writer, bringing with her over seven years of grant writing experience in the municipal sector. She holds background in overseeing the overall grant application process from project identification to submittal, interpreting technical information and data; information gathering including research, client/peer interviews, and site visits; and maintaining relationships with clients and funding agencies. Her industry knowledge lends itself to producing high quality and competitive grant applications which have led to projects that benefit innumerous rural and often underserved communities.
In her career so far, Ms. Middleton has successfully secured grant funds for assorted public infrastructure and community interest projects such as parks & recreation including park rehabilitation/development, trail connections, and master site plans; transportation including highway, intersection, rural roads, and main street projects; stormwater and MS4; municipal facilities and services; and blighted property remediation, among others.
Born in San Jose, California, Ms. Middleton was raised in northeastern Pennsylvania where she currently resides. Having grown up in a small town, she is passionate about helping other small communities develop and flourish to meet the diverse needs of their populations.
