Camilla Montoya

Camilla Montoya joined the LACO Associates team in late 2023 as a Staff Engineer at the Chico office. Originally from the Eureka/Arcata area, Ms. Montoya moved to Chico to obtain her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering at California State University (CSU), Chico, which she received in 2022. She also received her Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate during her final year at CSU, Chico and aims to obtain her Professional Engineer (PE) License by the end of 2025. Prior to joining the LACO team, Ms. Montoya had one year of experience as a Civil Engineering Technician, and a year and a half of experience as a Junior Civil Engineer, where she gained experience in the design and preparation of plans for commercial developments, subdivisions, gravity utility systems, and roadways. She also prepared tentative subdivision maps, storm drain reports, and stormwater pollution prevention plans (SWPPP). Ms. Montoya gained plenty of experience outside the office as well, performing various field investigations including SWPPP inspections for 15+ construction projects in Butte County and surrounding areas.
