PG&E retained LACO to provide geotechnical explorations of four different proposed tower sites to support design and construction of new microwave communication towers in Humboldt County, California. The project locations included the following sites:
- Pratt Mountain at an elevation of 3,982 feet, 8 miles east of Garberville, California
- Plummer Peak at an elevation of 4,415 feet, 5 miles south of Hayfork, California
- Horse Mountain at an elevation of 4,960 feet, 7 miles west of Willow Creek, California
- Barry Ridge at an elevation of 2,660 feet, 12 miles southeast of Eureka, California
- Monument Ridge at an elevation of 3,100 feet, immediately south of Scotia, California
