Christopher P. Alberts

Christopher Alberts joined LACO as an Associate Planner in March of 2023. Christopher grew up in the City of Ventura and moved to Humboldt County in 2013, where he obtained his Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and Management: Planning and Policy. In addition, Christopher’s education also includes a Master’s in Public Administration from Cal State Northridge. Christopher has over five years of professional planning experience, which includes working for both, the Humboldt County and Ventura County Planning Departments as a Planner. Mr. Alberts specializes in Commercial/Industrial Permitting, Commercial Cannabis Permitting, Tree Permitting, and technical writing. Christopher has processed various land use permits, including but not limited to Wireless Communication Facilities, insectaries, water distribution companies, mini-storages, zone changes, and residential and cold storage facilities. Christopher excels at preparing and presenting written reports and oral testimony to decision makers such as Planning Commissions and Zoning Administrator. People would describe Christopher as friendly, approachable, and efficient.
