California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA)
Since 2023, LACO has supported local land developers with CEQA related services to support four residential projects in northwestern Chico, including:
- 3 residential subdivisions totaling approximately 50 acres and 200 individual single-family residential lots; and
- A 208-unit apartment complex and amenities, proposed approximately 1.25 miles northwest of the California State University, Chico campus.
Three of the projects involved annexation into the city limits of Chico. LACO’s services included preparation of an Initial Study for each project, coordination with the City of Chico, and subconsultant management for the preparation of technical studies.
